In the past few months, I must admit that I have been changed quite dramatically by the iPhone.
I had always been living quite up to date, if not on the edge with the latest trend and technolgy. I had known of YouTube long ago. I had delicious bookmarks. I have a blog. My web domain. Gmail. Google talk and msn. Skype. Even rss reader.
But it was not until I got my iPhone that I turned full throttle.
I got an rss reader on it, and I check for updates very frequently. I look up Twitter updates and post my own too. I check my email on it. And then I started getting evernote on it so that I can compose notes on it. Various PDF readers to read my ebooks. I take tons of photo on it too. Subscribe to and listen to tons of podcasts.
But the tipping point happened when I was bored, and I tried out the YouTube on it. I found out about a lot of web original content like The Guild, The Mean Kitty.
And then I got kkbox which had an amazing collection of Chinese songs snippets. And finally, Midomi.
That last app was simply amazing. Sing or hum a part of a song, and it would tell you the name of the song, with a snippet of it, YouTube video, or lyrics if it has!
I had never realized how amazing an iPhone could turn out to be. I can't wait for the augumented reality apps to be out, and getting a new iPhone.
But on another note, the iPhone is absolutely useless without an Internet connection. I'm glad I have a 30gb mobile broadband data plan :D
