How little time do I have?

I took note of the time I reached home today. 830PM

I left home at about 830AM too today.

That left me with about 12 hours left at home. Of those 12 hours, I devote about 7 hours to sleep, from 1 AM to 8AM. Then there is the early morning 30 minutes to have breakfast, quick shower, washing up, change of clothes, etc. Then there is the night time 30 minutes of showering and dinner.

So I am left with 4 hours.

Of the 24 hours of a day, I only have that much. And I have to squeeze the following things into them too:
1. Studying for my upcoming SCEA exams
2. Reading through all the RSS I subscribe to
3. Reading any other books, articles that is technology, or just plain relax reading related
4. Reading the bible
5. Talking to my girlfriend on the phone (usually from 10PM onwards to 12PM)
6. Playing a DS game occasionally
7. Doing weight training
8. Developing a personal life management system (sorta like GTD)
9. Watching TV or anime or drama.
10. I’m contemplating a Masters Degree, so in the future, maybe further studies.

And those are what I can do IF I go home early. Other times I might be on a date with my girlfriend. And occasionally meeting up some old friends. Weekends seldom count for me too, as I will be spending time with my girlfriend for almost a full 12 hours too (which I do not regret at all, by the way)

What does this spell? That I have to multi-task a lot of things at the same time. I have a secondary monitor docked to my MacBook, which may play anime or drama if ‘required’. My TV might be on at the same time too. Then I will be surfing the net, or maybe reading something on my MacBook, or maybe reading a book, or maybe playing my DS, or maybe even weight training. Or I might be on the phone.

All simultaneously.

Seriously.

4 hours is just too short to achieve everything. Or maybe it is sufficient. I find myself skimming through content more and more, and impatience at many things. Most of all, I am impatient at the speed in which I absorb knowledge.

I am a knowledge whore. I adore and worship knowledge. And it does not help that I grew interested in Politics and World Affairs recently. They used to be NOT on my list of things to know.

I wished technology could allow me to download knowledge more efficiently into my brain.
