Recently the Internet has been buzzing with news of Google Chrome, the latest browser. I have not used it extensively yet (I installed it into my Windows VM though), and I am not too sure if I would use it.
The browser itself is cool, but this coming from Google the Big Daddy.. .well.. let's just say that although I am still using their services, I find myself trusting them less, due to Google Reader.
(Also, the excessive news of Google Chrome somehow irritates me)
I have been using Google Reader rather extensively lately, and made a bunch of starred items. Until I realize that I could not retrieve a lot of them. I was left with 141 starred items, dating back to a month ago.
...
What's the purpose of starring an item as a favorite but could not retrieve them? It could still be stored on Google's servers no doubt, but if I could not retrieve it, it would be as good as lost.
I have switched back to NetNewsWire. At least I control my own data when they are local.
